Reading the new National Education Policy 2020


The Union Cabinet has approved the new National Education Policy (NEP) on Wednesday. It is announced by HRD human resource development and Ramesh's Pokhriyal Nishank. This is good news for a new student to learn new things from primary school. Now aim to target the effective education system with several changes in the Indian education system from school to college. This changing policy turns a huge impression on the learning process.

This policy will play a vital role in the development of education in the country. The Cabinet has also approved the renaming of the Ministry of Human Resource Development to the Ministry of Education. This policy change after 34 years.

The main aim of the National Education Policy is to globalize development in the education system which helps in sustainable development in education till 2030. The major outcome of the current state of learning will bring higher equality, integrity, and reliability into the system, help from childhood education to higher education.

New Education Policy 2020: Important highlights

First, change in new education policy in class 10+2 format which replaces by 5+3+3+4 format this concept based on advanced learning for students. The first five years of the school called a foundation stage which includes 3 years for the pre-primary stage and two are grades I and II, this stage includes the play learning activity and good behavior build in the student. The next three years will be divided into a preparation class from 3 to 5, which added some new course and interactive learning format.

The next 3 years will be divided into the middle stage from 6 to 8. It includes smart learning concept on science, maths, art, etc, the last 4  stage has a crucial role in student education life. It is divided into four classes 9 to 12 class. This phase builds the development in a student like work on critical thinking, analytical skill, and provide more flexibility to the student and also train their professional skill.

In the earlier structure of education, the school had mostly decided streaming given for a student who is eligible for, if someone achieves good marks they got science otherwise student have to take art, commerce, but in the new format, the student can choose whatever they want without any skill test for a particular stream.

In the new era of education in the country would focus on multiple languages like mother tongue language, regional language, etc. The government policy only recommends the mother language in the starting year of education as medium instruction and it is not a mandatory, in-state school-home language, the regional language will continue wherever it is possible.
 
The medium instruction until at least starting 5 years, but it is preferred until 8 grade will be used mother language, home language, the regional language. This will help young students to learn and pick concept ease with a regional language. This language structure followed by both private and government schools.

Another approach will include a multi-disciplinary approach. This approach decides higher education schools and the professional institute will initiate a multi-tasking education. This policy aims to evolve "broad-based, flexible learning".Now no different bodies like UGC, AICTE, NCTE will regulate for higher education. It will merge & make a common body (HECI) Higher education commission of India control for entire higher education excluding medical and legal education.

NEP policy 2020 one major changes in the education system in the degree have multiple options. It will provide an undergraduate degree which is 3 to 4-year duration, if a student decides to drop out after 1 year of completion then institute provides a certificate to a student in a particular field, after 2 & 3 years on the dropping out student get a diploma certificate and bachelor degree too.

In the duration of 4 years, the institute will start a multi-education program that would prefer many options. The main aim is not focusing on academic education but rather than practical and research-based education, the student has a pursue a project work along with it.
